Foot Reflexology is an excellent choice for your self care routine.
At this time, I am still only able to do outcall visits in Midland Ontario and area. One hour appointments are the optimal time for the therapy session to provide the maximum impact for health and wellness, but I also offer a half hour session for those who have a minimum or 3 people (to a maximum of 10) in the home who have committed to a foot reflexology session. I bring all the linens required (towels, blankets, pillow and pillowcases.) but you are welcomed to use your own blanket to cover yourself up to stay warm during the session. I bring a zero gravity chair into your home, plus my rolling chair to sit on at your feet. So, the area must be big enough to accommodate those. Unfortunately most lazy boy or recliner type chairs do not work, as it puts your feet too low for me to reach from a chair. My chair is only ever used indoors, and is always used covered by sheet or blanket. If you already have a zero gravity chair, you are also welcomed to have it set up before the appointment and use that instead. The home also must be smoke free and pet free, as I travel from home to home. Foot Reflexology works together with any other modality you might choose for your Health and Wellness routines. It's a wonderful way to relax, recharge, and spend some time just on you. The best way to connect with me about Foot Reflexology in Midland Ontario, is to send me a message using the forms on this page, or sending me an email.

Where can you get foot reflexology in Midland Ontario?
Currently I am back doing the Workplace Wellness Programs at local busnesses, which has been a reminder of how much I miss doing reflexology with reiki treatments. As I no longer have the downtown office, when it comes to seeing individuals, I am only able to do home visits in the Midland Ontario area. When it comes to the home sessions, where we are sitting inside the residence for the reflexology session, there must be several things in place to make it work:
Costs vary depending on where the client is located, and home visits are subject to the practitioners availability. It's been so LONG! And so much has changed with Ontario being in Covid lock down.
I've been getting inquiries about Foot Reflexology from all over - Waubaushene, Balm Beach, Lafontaine, and surrounding areas around Midland on Georgian Bay- And have to keep saying "I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to practice right now." It's sad for me, too. I miss sharing that healing gift. At the time of writing, the Stay-At-Home order is in effect until June 2, 2021, and during this shut down, according to the Reflexology Association of Canada's Website, RCRT™s (Regsitered Certified Reflexology Therapists) are not allowed to provide their services. I"m guessing that when the hair dressers and hair salons in Midland are allowed to open, that foot Reflexologists can get back to work, too. Since I no longer have my office, my plan is to do home visits, outside, in the Midland area, when we are allowed to work again! I'll be looking for you to have a shaded area to set up my zero gravity chair and all the things I'll need to work. If you already have zero gravity lawn chairs, I'll be happy to use yours. I'll also ask if I'll need to provide the towels and pillows necessary ahead of time. Even though we'll be outside, we'll still have to wear masks and any other PPE that the government deems necessary. There also can be no dogs unleashed, and no smoking during the sessions. As we get closer to having some answers about how Ontario is going to open back up from this lock down, I'll have more answers for you in terms of how my personal care service is going to be able to function. I'll announce here when that is going to be an available service, as well as on my facebook page. Stay well, Lori. December 31, 2020 was the last day I had my little office, downtown in Midland Ontario.
I hadn't used it for clients since March 2020, and it just didn't make sense to hold onto it any longer. It took a few days to clean out, and all of my Reflexology pillows and linens are in bins, all packed away carefully for when we might be able to meet again. I'm sad to let it go, but I have to believe that it means that something better is coming. From what I'm reading, RMT's who do Reflexology are allowed to practice if they work in clinics (my office was not in a clinic setting, having rented my own space in a regular office building.) And I think Reflexologists who re working in clinics can only practice if an RMT or Chiropractor, or doctor, refers the client to reflexology. I imagine when the weather gets nice again, I'll be able to work outside, in an airy tent, with both of us wearing a mask. Or perhaps if I can work in a clinic were my workspace will have a window I can open. But we'll have to wait and see. I'll be keeping everyone posted on the Facebook page, and here in the blog. If you have any questions (or you are hanging onto a Gift Certificate) just connect with me at Facebook with your questions. https://www.facebook.com/ReflexologyMidlandOntario It's nearly time to go shopping.
I like to give out gift bags to my new clients when they come into the Midland Ontario Reflexology office. Normally, I'll put in some little treats like fun nail files, a sleeping face mask, maybe a lotion sample or a little pack of epsom salt. But, it's almost time to go shopping for more bag fillers! What sort of things do you appreciate, use, or look forward to when you are getting a grab bag or a little gift bag from a small business? I'd really love to hear your thoughts on this ! I think I may be getting bored of the same old things when I go shopping, and I'm ready to hear your opinions. Other items I've included in the past :
Let me know if there are any wonderful things you've ever gotten in a gift bag or a grab bag that was different or unique, and really made an impression on you! Over the weekend, I had a Reflexology party booked in Penetanguishene. It was for a bachelorette party, where the guests were enjoying music, and each others company.
They somehow got in the Christian Island station CKUN 101.3 (Nish Radio) FM - And it played an eclectic mix all afternoon. The ladies had brought gifts for the bride to be, and they all were cooking together, and in the mix, one by one, I would see them in the room they set up for Reflexology. The house was under renovations somewhat, a big old house with so much charm. The reflex chair was set up in a room that seemed like it doubled both as a music room and a library, with a big tall window to let in a lot of light, despite it being a rainy day in town. I brought my towels, zero gravity chair, other linens and pillows, and the foot heating pad to keep each client warm while relaxing the chair. As always, I bring my naturally blended lotions, too. (Lemongrass and Ginger from Evocative Essentials in Midland is always the favourite, it seems!) At these sort of functions, I do a relaxing half hour session, so that everyone who attends the party will have a chance to try. It was a really fun day, and I was so glad to be included with the girls in their celebrations of their friend getting married. Plus, I always love to treat new people with foot reflexology to show them how it can really benefit them. It also gave me some practice for the upcoming summer cottage season, where I often will do house calls for people who come up to Midland and Penetanguishene to visit their cottages or family, or for functions. Bookings for that has begun, and I'm starting to fill up my weekends already. If you are interested in booking a Reflexology party for up to 6 people, or for an hour long Reflexology session in Penetang or the area, send me a message through the form on this website. It's a great way to treat your guests, and provide some pampering. It's that time of year again! Every February, I offer a Foot Reflexology Special, as a thank you to all my clients, for people new to Reflexology to give it a try, but most importantly because winter is long and February is a month that we often need to break out of the "Blaa's."
Foot Reflexology is a wonderful way to relax and destress, but it's also a great way to clear your energies so that you can refocus. Our Reflexology Therapist can use Reiki at no extra charge during your session, so be sure to ask! To book your session during the special, and to get the special rate, use the form on this page to connect, call, or email. The last week of September is World Reflexology Week. It's a pretty exciting time for Reflexology practitioners everywhere. We believe in what we do, and we love what we do, but often Reflexology is a modality that not a lot of people understand or have tried.
World Reflexology Week is a time for us to highlight what it is that we do, what being a Reflexology wellness practitioner can mean, and share the message of what Reflexology can do to benefit your health. Foot Reflexology really is one of those things you just have to try for yourself, to see how it can benefit you. I can explain all I want about better circulation, pain reduction, better sleep, and more, but until you have an hour in the chair, all the words might mean nothing. So, I've decided that instead of just celebrating for a week, I'm doing a WHOLE MONTH at a special reduced price. I would love for you to come in and experience Reflexology for yourself. Give yourself permission to relax, and enjoy a passive one hour Foot Reflexology treatment at a discounted rate. For $30, during the whole month of September, you can try a full one hour reflexology session! I have some evening and weekend availability for this special, too, so that if you work during the day, you won't miss out by not being available during regular business hours. My schedule online has my availability on it, and you can choose your own time. Alternately, you can contact me through the form on this page.
Looking for some weekend spa time? Midland Ontario Reflexology offers foot reflexology appointments on weekends for your convenience.
There are very few spas that are open in the Midland area, including in Balm Beach and Penetanguishene, on the weekends. Often when they are open, they are only available in the mornings. Midland Ontario Reflexology offers weekend availability for foot reflexology in the mornings and afternoons, from 10am until 6pm, to accommodate your visiting and working schedules. Our spa foot service for reflex is a one hour of pampering, where you relax in comfort. Our weekend office is a quiet and comfortable space to meditate while your foot session is in progress. Reflexology is similar to acupressure, in that your therapist will massage pressure points on the feet that correspond to every part of your body. The therapy leaves you feeling relaxed and helps you feel renewed. To book your weekend spa reflexology treatment, you can visit our online booking scheduler, or call. Construction season has arrived in Midland! Road workers are busy, houses and renovations are on the go, and all the factory workers who still have to do their shifts in work boots are feeling it.
Work Boots will protect your feet with their steel toes and heavy construction, but work boots can also make your feet feel extra tired at the end of the day. Often when your feet spend their work shift in heavy boots, you'll experience pain and sensitivity at the end of the day. Foot Reflexology can help. Foot pain in the arches, in the ball of your foot, toe cramps, bruising inflammation, and plantar faciitis are some common complaints among people who have to wear work boots Monday to Friday. A Reflexology foot massage can help the circulation in your feet and legs to reduce the pain from work boots. The accupressure-like treatment can also reduce the pain or cramps you are feeling from bunions, hammer toes, and the pressure having your foot wrapped up all day in protective footwear. A Reflexology treatment can also help you figure out if you've developed calluses that are causing problems, if you are experiencing new nerve pain, or if you are experiencing new ingrown toenails that are causing pain. Reflexology helps the entire body feel better, reduces stress, and helps the body heal itself. Midland Ontario Reflexology is available after regular business hours and on weekends, for construction workers or factory workers who work shift work and long days. Your first visit in office is only $35 to give it a try and see if it's a therapy that will work to alleviate your foot pain or strain from work boots.
